The Mysteries of Our Life

Listen to this story and it will expose the mysteries of our brief existence on this planet. Someone asked a friend to help them with a difficult jigsaw puzzle. He gave up in despair after considerable effort. The friend who knew the solution to the riddle went to another room and returned minutes later with the answer. “How did you solve this complicated puzzle so quickly?” his friend inquired. The man smiled and then showed him the back of the puzzle board. He noticed all of the pieces in perfect order there. “That photo revealed the key to solving the puzzle,” he explained. This anecdote exemplifies the quality of our lives in this chaotic and disorganized environment. Everything appears to be out of place until we glimpse the hidden pattern through the eyes of the Designer. All evils stem from our lack of understanding of that Design. Discovering that Design is the key to unlocking life’s secrets and providing a blueprint for living in peace and success.

The Implications of a Single Perspective Shift

Consider one of the shifts in perspective that the knowledge of our creation’s secret design can bring about in our lives: believing that life ends in death versus knowing for certain that human life on earth is a fleeting moment in the eternity that follows. Can anyone imagine the massive disparity between these two viewpoints? The distinction is enormous and boundless. Many people treat death as though it were a death sentence. That assumption holds valid if God is excluded from the equation. The following example should be enough to disprove that assumption for people who believe in God.

Would you let a buddy die if you had the option? Is God less forgiving than a loyal friend? No, the One who adores us will never let us perish. He will continue to transport our souls to new and glorious spheres where we shall be able to view the beauties of His creation for the rest of our lives. He will continue to show us, His most magnificent creation, His limitless love. We only discard items that are no longer useful. Is it true that those who bear God’s image are worthless? Would He ever sabotage His work of art? We shall be even more alive than we are now when billions of years have passed.

Consider how much joy, hope, purpose, and significance just one shift of viewpoint may bring to our lives. Our brief existence on this planet is only the beginning of a journey that will last forever. This first stage is crucial because of the following: It determines whether we will travel in the direction of God or away from Him. Like a journey to a distant city, our lives here are like that. What if we take a bad turn at the beginning of our journey?

It is a huge feat to discover and see the harmonious Design of the dispersed bits of our life on Earth. Human life is pointless without this understanding. Finding this Design is the first step toward permanent serenity and happiness. Every question we will ever confront will be answered by our understanding of this Design. Why is there so much misery in the world, for example? What does it mean to be successful? Is it about indulging one’s body with every conceivable pleasure? Shouldn’t we aspire to be a sheep in a beautiful pasture if that is the actual definition of success if that is all there is? It includes everything for free, so there’s no need to be concerned.
