Honoring Dr. Hushidar Motlagh

In honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Hushidar Motlagh, we remember a man whose intellect was matched only by his devotion to the spiritual unity of humankind. A scholar, educator, and prolific author, Dr. Motlagh dedicated his life to bridging the gap between the earthly and the divine, leaving behind a body of work that continues to illuminate the path for seekers of all faiths.

The Life of a Visionary Scholar

Dr. Hushidar Motlagh’s journey was defined by a profound commitment to education and spiritual inquiry. As a Professor Emeritus at Central Michigan University, he spent over three decades teaching the psychology of human development, educational psychology, and creativity. His academic background provided a unique lens through which he explored the mysteries of existence, combining the rigors of psychological science with the profound truths of the Bahá’í Faith.

Beyond the classroom, Dr. Motlagh was a bridge-builder. He possessed a rare ability to synthesize the teachings of the world’s great religions—the Bible, the Qur’án, and the Bahá’í writings—to show that they are different chapters of a single, unfolding divine story.

A Legacy in Print: The Works of Dr. Motlagh

With more than 30 volumes to his name, Dr. Motlagh’s bibliography is a testament to his tireless pursuit of truth. His writings often focused on the fulfillment of prophecy and the transformative power of knowing God. Notable works such as I Shall Come Again, The Glory of the Father, and One God, Many Faiths; One Garden, Many Flowers have become essential resources for those seeking to understand the harmony between religions.

His books were not merely academic exercises; they were invitations to a “Messenger of Joy.” He wrote about the “Spiritual Design of Creation” and offered “God’s 19 Great Little Tranquilizers” to help individuals find peace in a turbulent world. Whether writing in English or Farsi, his message remained consistent: that we are created for a divine and glorious destiny.

Continuing the Mission: Sharing His Light with the World

Though Dr. Motlagh has passed on to “The Door to Heaven”—the title of one of his own books on the transition of the soul—his mission remains as vital as ever. Our current efforts are focused on ensuring that his extensive collection of materials reaches a global audience.

We believe that Dr. Motlagh’s insights into the unity of God and the oneness of humanity are more necessary today than ever before. To honor his memory, we are committed to:

Expanding Digital Access: Making his works available through platforms like Global Perspective so that seekers everywhere can access his wisdom.

Promoting Dialogue: Encouraging the inquiry and discussion methods he loved so dearly, welcoming “unresolved questions concerning human life and destiny.”

Preserving the Teachings: Ensuring his research into biblical and Islamic prophecy remains a cornerstone for those investigating the Bahá’í Faith.

A Call to Discover

Dr. Motlagh often told his students and readers that behind the “clouds of grief and gloom, God’s hidden hand is directing the course of events.” In sharing his life’s work, we hope to lift those clouds for others, offering the same sense of hope, purpose, and joy that he radiated throughout his life.

We invite you to explore the world of Dr. Hushidar Motlagh—to read his words, reflect on his teachings, and join us in celebrating a life that was truly “The Crown of Immortal Glory.”
